Today we have received an update from Liaow Shop that the Vivo Xplay 3S is delayed again. Initially the phone was supposed to be launched on January 15th, then the launch date has been postponed to February 12th. Today Liaow told us that Vivo is still not ready and the Xplay 3S will ship by the end of this month, but no exact date has been given.
The exact reason for the latest delay is not known, but we believe that there might be still some problems with the hardware and / or software of Vivo’s new flagship phone. Let’s hope that Vivo can fulfill the promise to deliver by the end of the month this time.
Unfortunately the newest delay does also mean that Vivo’s advantage is lost now. They were able to be the first Chinese company to release their new high end flagship phone way before any other competitor. This is now a thing of the past, as Oppo and even Samsung have announced to release their new flagship phones by the end of February till March.
The Vivo Xplay 3S features a Snapdragon 800 CPU, 3GB of RAM and a 13 mega pixel camera. The phone does also have a 6-inch 2k screen and is with only 8.58mm very thin as well. The phone is available for pre-order on Liaow with a price tag of $669.
